Ladies In The Industry was founded by Serene MGMT in 2016 and has grown extensively every year. So far, the annual LITI conference has been held in, Washington D.C., New York City, and Atlanta respectively with the latest to happen in L.A. for the first time. In the past, their conferences have been featured in various media outlets including Sheen Magazine and The Huffington Post.The LITI Music and Media conference is important because it creates a platform that provides opportunities for Women In The Entertainment Industry to connect and grow through adversities and celebrate their personal perseverance. This being the 5th Anniversary of Ladies in the Industry: Music and Media what can we expect for the March 2020 conference?
LITI: This conference is going to be more powerful than ever. We've got some of the most powerful people that we've ever had on the panel. I feel like since we're in the capital of entertainment, we have so much to prove. Our panelists are ready to bring authentic conversations that I feel like the ladies in this industry deserve!
What do you want people to take from the conference?
LITI: As always, I want women (and men) come to create trustworthy, credible, and dependable relationships. Our conference is known to drop a few tears, force a few hugs, and exchanging a lot of numbers! We created this platform to allow people to grow, personally - however it's allowed people to grow in every element of their lives.
What are you looking forward to the most?
LITI: OMG every single Thing! We have women from Live Nation, Buzzfeed, BET, Atlantic Records, TMZ, and more; I'm excited to see the partnerships that people will build from these connections! The conversations is what I'm looking forward to the most! Mental health, finances, and definetly The Power panel! We're bringing back the Influencers Meet-n-Greets! Of course, our photo activation areas will be ALL ON THE GRAM!
Here's what to expect!:
Panel 1: Mental Health: This panel will consist of the importance of maintaining your mental health and implementing self care into our workload. Our panelists will provide tips and advice on how to navigate the space of personal wellness within the business of the entertainment industry.
Panel 2: Singles: This panel will discuss the experiences of being a single woman in the music and media industry. The panel will give techniques on finding the right partner while managing an awesome career! Topics covered include: sex, dating, and being a respected woman in the industry.
Panel 3: Motherhood: This is a panel dedicated to understanding the rewards and difficulties that mothers face in the music and media industry, as well as how to balance family and work life. Panel 4: Finances: This panel will highlight finance and credit coaches that have a connection with the industry. Those who can teach professionals on how to manage their funds, improve their credit, and properly invest into their businesses.Panel 5: Politics to Media & Music: Ladies of the music and media industry understand the effects that music and media play on politics. They will learn why it’s important to vote, what makes the best decision when choosing political parties, and what their roles are in the next upcoming election.
