CBS presents the Grammys. CBS
The girlies are OUTSIDE prepping for the big show! Our writers, producers, media correspondence and PR professionals are on the job, as per usual. This time of year brings the entertainment industry together, celebrating the accomplishments of our favorite artists. I particularly love this year's contenders because all categories include women who respectively made their mark in 2023. Let's take a walk through some of the most anticipated categories for tomorrow night and predict some winners!
Record Of The Year
Taylor Swift - Anti-Hero
Olivia Rodrigo - Vampire
Jon Batiste - Worship
Victoria Monet - On My Mama
Boy Genius - Not Strong Enough
SZA - Kill Bill
Miley Cirus - Flowers
There is no debating here, the numbers don't what? LIE. Kill Bill charted on Billboard immediately after its release and stayed at number 1 for 21 weeks straight. Who is doing that? I predict a clean sweep for the night because there is simply no denying the success and impact of SOS.
Who Has Your Vote?
SZA - KILL BILL
VICTORIA MONET - ON MY MAMA
ANOTHER NOMINEE
Album Of The Year
Olivia Rodrigo - GUTS

Taylor Swift - Midnights
SZA - SOS
Janelle Monae - The Age Of Pleasure
Lana Del Ray - Did You Know That There's A Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd
Miley Cirus- Endless Summer Vacation
Jon Batiste - World Music Radio
This one is a bit tough because the Swifties do NOT play. Taylor had an extremely successful year. Miley Cirus and Janelle Monae also made waves with their projects. Personally, I love watching the evolution of Janelle's artistry- The Age Of Pleasure is a solid album. All that said, I GOTTA go with SZA again. However, I would not be surprised if this was awarded to Taylor or another artist in this category.

Brace yourselves, LOL. History has taught us that the award will go to someone like Ice Spice because of her success. This might be given to any of the other nominee who didn't see as much commercial success. HOWEVER, I believe this one should go to Coco Jones. If not for anything else, hopefully for her dedication to preserve real R&B music. Don't get me wrong, Victoria deserves as well! We stan a media maven!

SZA Featuring Phoebe Bridgers - Ghost In The Machine
Taylor Swift ft Ice Spice - Karma
Labrinth Featuring Billie Eilish - Never Felt So Alone
Lana Del Rey Featuring Jon Batiste - Candy Necklace
Miley Cyrus Featuring Brandi Carlile - Thousand Miles
Biased opinion, only because I experienced the song LIVE at SZA's NYC stop on her tour. She brought Phoebe out and it was one of those things where I didn't listen to that specific song until afterwards. It's that song you keep skipping, not realizing how beautiful it is. On the other hand, my spidey senses are telling me they may give it to Taylor Swift and Ice Spice for obvious reasons.

NOW, this is where is gets spicy for me! All nominees deserve this win! Selfishly, I would love to see Breezy walk away with this one. I wouldn't be bothered if any of the other artists snagged it up.

This category might be my favorite. When I listen to music, I tend to connect with lyrics first, so it is so important to me that songwriters receive their flowers as well. In this case, it's between Snooze and ICU. The ability to articulate every kind of human emotion and lived experience is truly special.

Baby Keem Featuring Kendrick Lamar - The Hillbillies
Let's not pretend like Coi is not that girl! She's been putting in the work while giving us hits. It was very hard to turn on the radio without hearing Players in rotation last year. I would love to see her have her moment, but I wouldn't mind if Drake/21 or Killer Mike grabbed this one.
